**New Delhi:** Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta convened crucial meetings today to discuss the upcoming budget and the implementation of the “Mahila Samman Yojana,” a women’s empowerment scheme offering ₹2500. The budget meeting involved discussions with officials on the city’s financial priorities. The Mahila Samman Yojana meeting focused on the disbursement of the promised financial aid.
Earlier on Friday, CM Gupta and her cabinet met with PWD and Delhi Jal Board (DJB) officials to review the city’s road and water infrastructure. The CM announced that the cabinet approved the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme in its first meeting, promising its benefits will soon reach all citizens, including senior citizens.
Starting today, the CM and her cabinet ministers will undertake field inspections of roads, hospitals, and water quality to assess ground realities. Sources indicate that the DJB has been instructed to submit a report on areas receiving contaminated drinking water. The CM has directed the department to swiftly resolve this issue.
Meanwhile, Delhi ministers have begun holding individual meetings with their departments and officials, focusing on implementing key promises made by the BJP during the elections.
