Fri Feb 21 14:30:00 UTC 2025: ## ABC to Air Special on Christopher Reeve’s Son Retracing His Father’s Final Journey
**NEW YORK, NY** – Thirty years after a tragic horseback riding accident left Christopher Reeve paralyzed, his son, Will Reeve, embarks on an emotional journey retracing his father’s final expedition. The ABC primetime special, “Will Reeve: Finding My Father,” airing February 26th at 10:02 PM EST, will follow Will as he travels from Mexico to near Siberia, following the path his father took while tracking the migration of the Pacific gray whale.
Will, an ABC correspondent, shares deeply personal reflections on his father, the iconic Superman actor, describing his own feelings of idolizing a man he knew primarily as “dad.” Having been only two years old when his father was paralyzed and twelve when he passed away, Will seeks to connect with his father’s legacy and find answers to lingering questions.
The special features poignant moments, including encounters with individuals who met Christopher Reeve during his final journey. One such encounter involved a man who presented Will with a 30-year-old photograph of himself with his father, highlighting the enduring impact of Christopher Reeve’s life.
“I’ve waited 30 years to do this and share the experience with my father,” Will shares in the trailer. This deeply personal documentary promises a moving tribute to a beloved actor and father, offering a unique perspective on grief, legacy, and the enduring power of family bonds. The special will be available to stream on Hulu the day after its broadcast.
