**NEW DELHI** – Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has been discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi after being admitted on Thursday with a stomach ailment. Doctors reported her condition as stable throughout her stay. The 78-year-old Rajya Sabha MP and Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson was released Friday afternoon. This follows a recent period of reduced involvement in direct politics, having chosen a Rajya Sabha seat from Rajasthan in the last Lok Sabha elections. Her children, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi, remain active in politics.
