**TIRUNELVELI, February 21, 2025** – Palayamkottai police conducted a successful anti-smuggling operation on Friday, seizing 16 kilograms of ganja and detaining six individuals. Acting on a tip-off regarding ganja smuggling, a police team intercepted a mini cargo vehicle on the Thiruvananthapuram Highway. The vehicle was found to be carrying the contraband.
The driver and his associate were initially detained. During questioning, they revealed the presence of a four-person “patrol team” on two motorcycles escorting the cargo. These four individuals were also apprehended. The police seized both the vehicle and the motorcycles. All six suspects are currently being interrogated at the Palayamkottai police station.
