**KARACHI, PAKISTAN** – Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan suffered a painful wrist injury during his team’s opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against South Africa on Thursday. The injury occurred when a powerfully driven ball struck his left wrist while he was bowling in the 21st over. Despite visible pain and requiring on-field medical attention, Khan bravely returned to bowling.
