**Bengaluru, February 21, 2025** – The Karnataka government has officially begun implementing projects worth over ₹10 lakh crore secured at the recently concluded Global Investors’ Meet 2025 in Bengaluru. This significant investment surge is expected to boost the state’s economy and create numerous jobs.
One of the first projects to commence is a ₹15,000 crore investment by Emvee Energy, a solar photovoltaic panel and module manufacturer. The company will initially invest ₹5,000 crore to establish a 5 GW power generation facility in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR), creating an estimated 10,000 jobs. The plant will manufacture various solar power generation components, contributing to the state’s sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, a groundbreaking ceremony was held earlier today for a ₹315 crore Krones manufacturing plant in Vemagal, further showcasing the success of the investors’ meet. The Karnataka government is actively facilitating land acquisition and other necessary approvals for these and other projects secured during the event. The large-scale investments are expected to significantly impact the state’s economic growth and employment opportunities.
