**ERODE, February 21, 2025** – The Erode Corporation has announced a renewed tender and public auction for 145 shops at its newly constructed satellite bus stand in Solar. The auction, originally scheduled for January but postponed due to a by-election, will now take place on March 5, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.
The ₹63.5 crore bus stand, nearing completion, boasts a 12,247 sq. m. built-up area, including shops, stalls, a dispensary, cloakrooms, restaurants, dormitories, and a multi-purpose hall. The Corporation aims to generate ₹9 crore annually through rentals and deposits.
Shops range in size from 164.46 sq. ft to 373.74 sq. ft, with rents set at ₹57.50 per sq. ft. Deposits vary from ₹3.5 lakh to ₹7.5 lakh depending on location. Different rates apply to restaurants, dormitories, and the hall. The tender, valid for three years (2025-2028), was initially released in December 2024.
