Fri Feb 21 09:46:24 UTC 2025: ## Couple Arrested for Astrologer’s Murder in Visakhapatnam
**VISAKHAPATNAM, February 21, 2025** – Bheemunipatnam police have arrested a couple, U. Chinna Rao and his wife Mounika, for the murder of an astrologer, Appanna Dora, from Pendurthi. Dora had been reported missing on February 10th. His burnt remains were later discovered near Uppada.
Police investigations revealed that Dora, who frequently visited Nerellavalasa to practice astrology, allegedly acted inappropriately towards Mounika during a ritual. She reported this to her husband, who subsequently plotted Dora’s murder.
Chinna Rao lured Dora to an isolated location near Uppada on February 9th under the guise of a ritual for his mother. There, he fatally stabbed Dora with a button knife. The following day, the couple returned to the scene and set the body on fire to destroy evidence.
The accused have been remanded.
