**Bengaluru, February 21, 2025** – M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) successfully hosted the South Zone Student Research Convention, Anveshan 2025, in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The event, inaugurated by IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge on February 20th, featured nearly 350 students from across five states – Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu – presenting 130 innovative research projects.
The projects spanned diverse fields including agriculture, basic sciences, engineering, health sciences, social sciences, and interdisciplinary research. Minister Kharge stressed the importance of student contributions to India’s growth, while Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil highlighted the significance of artificial intelligence and urged students to develop their technological skills to address global challenges.
RUAS Vice-Chancellor Professor Kuldeep Kumar Raina emphasized Anveshan’s role in providing a platform for young researchers and aligning with the university’s mission of empowering students through quality education and research. The convention showcased a wide range of innovative ideas from the region’s brightest young minds.
