**New Delhi, February 20** – The Adani Foundation hosted a national-level roundtable consultation in New Delhi on February 19th, ahead of International Women’s Day, to strategize on accelerating women’s empowerment across India. The event saw the launch of the Foundation’s “Butterfly Effect” framework, a holistic approach designed to support women throughout their lives, from infancy to old age.
The framework, detailed in the newly released “Supporting Her Exponential Empowerment (S.H.E.)” report, focuses on education, nutrition, health, skill-building, and sustainable livelihoods to foster self-reliance and autonomy. Rather than charitable handouts, the Foundation emphasizes programs that empower women to make meaningful choices for themselves and their families.
Abhishek Lakhtakia, CEO of the Adani Foundation, highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve large-scale impact. He stated that the Foundation’s interventions aim to ensure equitable access to opportunities at every stage of a woman’s life. The roundtable, he added, serves as a crucial step towards furthering the cause of women’s empowerment.
The Adani Foundation, established in 1996, claims to have positively impacted the lives of over two million girls and women through its various initiatives. The “Butterfly Effect” framework represents a significant step in their ongoing commitment to inclusive, sustainable, and transformative change for women across India.
