Wed Feb 19 18:06:17 UTC 2025: ## Chennai Minister Inaugurates ₹1.6 Crore Development Projects in Virugambakkam

**Chennai, February 20, 2025** – Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ma. Subramanian, inaugurated development projects worth ₹1.60 crore in Virugambakkam, south Chennai, on Wednesday. The projects, funded by the Constituency Funds of Chennai South MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian and MLA Prabhakar Raja, include a gym and multipurpose building, an anganwadi building, a fair price shop, and a children’s development centre.

The MP’s allocation of ₹65 lakh funded the construction of a gym and multipurpose building on Ilango Street, while ₹43.58 lakh went towards an anganwadi building. The MLA’s contribution of ₹22 lakh built a fair price shop, and a further ₹30 lakh was used for a children’s development centre. Chennai Corporation officials, along with local councillors and DMK party secretaries, attended the inauguration ceremony.
