Thu Feb 20 06:49:28 UTC 2025: ## ICSI Opens Registrations for May 2025 CSEET Exam

**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced that registrations are now open for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) scheduled for May 3, 2025. Aspiring company secretaries have until April 15, 2025, to submit their applications and the application fee is Rs 2,000.

The CSEET, a crucial step for admission to the ICSI’s Company Secretaries course, will be conducted remotely, allowing candidates to take the exam from anywhere in India under online invigilation. The exam assesses candidates across four subjects: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment and Current Affairs, and Quantitative Aptitude. A minimum aggregate score of 50 percent, with at least 40 percent in each subject, is required to pass. Importantly, there is no negative marking. Calculators and writing materials are strictly prohibited during the examination.

Eligibility criteria include completion or appearance in the class 12 examinations. However, several categories are exempt from the CSEET, including those who have cleared the ICSI Foundation level exam, final-level candidates from the ICAI and ICMAI, and graduates or postgraduates with a minimum of 50 percent marks. These candidates can directly enroll in the CS Executive Programme.

The CSEET is conducted four times a year, in January, May, July, and November. For detailed information and application procedures, candidates are advised to visit the official ICSI website. The CS qualification is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as equivalent to a postgraduate degree.
