**Jodhpur, Feb 19, 2025** – Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the Bhajanlal government’s second full budget in the Rajasthan State Assembly today. The budget emphasizes holistic state development, with a strong focus on green energy initiatives.
Key highlights include plans to boost investment by increasing the number of single-window, one-stop shops to 149 and introducing a Global Capability Center policy for the service sector and a Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy for the trading sector. A significant move is the inclusion of warehouses under the ambit of industry, aiming to increase storage capacity. The budget allocates ₹150 crore for infrastructure improvements in existing and private industrial areas. Eighteen new industrial areas will be established, all developed under a “plug and play” system.
Two logistics parks will be developed in conjunction with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. A Green Growth Credit Policy will offer various incentives to both existing and new industries. The budget also introduces the Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Yojana, offering loans up to ₹2 crore to new entrepreneurs, and support for 500 new startups under the i-Startup initiative.
Further investments will be made in developing specialized industrial parks: a toy park in Kota, stone parks in Neembahera, Chittorgarh, and Bundi, a ceramic park in Soniana, and a pharma park under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Expansion of the textile park in Bhilwara and the establishment of a block printing zone in Sanganer, Jaipur, are also planned. A ₹5 crore hub will be developed in Akolai, Chittorgarh, to promote hand-printed crafts.
The government also aims to foster entrepreneurship among youth by supporting the creation of 1500 new startups, providing funding to 750 of them. A Center for Advanced Skilling and Career Counseling will be established in each divisional headquarters.
The budget has been lauded by industry bodies like Laghu Udyog Bharti Rajasthan, who welcomed the incentives for industrial expansion and praised the government’s agricultural initiatives, including 50,000 new agricultural connections and ₹1250 crore for drip and sprinkler irrigation systems across 3.5 lakh hectares. The inclusion of warehouses as industry and the implementation of an amnesty scheme and a flattened factory system in the mining sector were also highlighted as positive steps.
