**Jaipur, [Date]** – Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, presented the state budget for 2025-26 on Wednesday, focusing on employment generation, water supply projects, and major infrastructure initiatives. The budget includes significant pay increases for various groups and a large-scale recruitment drive.

Key highlights of the budget include a 10% increase in honorariums for all honorarium-based employees, panchayat representatives, and NFSA ration dealers. Government employees will also receive the benefits of increased gratuity from April 1st, 2024. Furthermore, the government announced the restructuring of several cadres, including ministerial personnel, jail wardens, school lecturers, and instructors, to increase promotion opportunities.

A major focus is on job creation, with the government pledging 1.25 lakh new positions across government departments and state undertakings in the coming year. The budget also allocates ₹400 crore to provide drinking water connections to an additional two lakh homes. A significant investment of ₹60,000 crore is earmarked for the construction of nine greenfield expressways.

Kumari highlighted the government’s progress in fulfilling its election promises, claiming the completion of 58% of its manifesto commitments and 73% of the previous budget’s announcements. The budget aims to benefit various sections of society, including women, youth, farmers, and salaried employees.
