**Pune, Maharashtra –** A major foot march, the “Jai Shivaji Jai Bharat” Padyatra, will take place in Pune on February 19th, 2025, as part of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti celebrations. The event, expected to draw 20,000 participants, will be led by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

The 4-kilometer padyatra, starting at COEP College Ground and ending at Fergusson College, is part of a larger nationwide initiative commemorating 75 years of the Indian Constitution and celebrating India’s cultural diversity. This Pune event marks the sixth in a series of 24 planned padyatras across the country.

For the first time, a padyatra of this scale will occur simultaneously across all 36 districts of Maharashtra, engaging youth, local leaders, and citizens. Pre-padyatra activities across the state included cleaning drives, cultural processions, plays depicting Shivaji Maharaj’s life, and lectures on his legacy.

The event aims to honor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership, valor, and contribution to a unified India. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports encourages youth nationwide to register on the MY Bharat Portal (www.mybharat.gov.in) to participate. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar and several other ministers will also join the march.
