**BATON ROUGE, LA** – A 32-year-old man, identified as David Chambers III, is dead following a shooting Monday evening in Baton Rouge. The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. at a convenience store on Plank Road, where Chambers was shot while inside his vehicle. He subsequently drove to the intersection of North 23rd Street and Birch Street, where he was pronounced dead.
Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) Chief Thomas Morse stated that investigators are reviewing security footage from nearby businesses and exploring various possible motives. Police found narcotics and a weapon in Chambers’ vehicle, leading them to investigate several lines of inquiry.
