**Ahmedabad, India** – India’s Shubman Gill has ascended to the number one spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings, surpassing Pakistan’s Babar Azam. Gill’s impressive 112 runs against England last week propelled him to 796 rating points, 23 points ahead of Babar. This marks Gill’s second time achieving the top ranking, having previously held the position during the Cricket World Cup.

The ranking update also reflects strong performances from other players.
