Tue Feb 18 15:34:08 UTC 2025: ## ICAR-IISR to Host Three-Day ‘Rise Up’ Agri-Innovation Event
**Kozhikode, Feb 18, 2025** – The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR) in Kozhikode will host a three-day event, “Rise Up,” starting Wednesday, to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture and the spice sector.
The event will feature an expo showcasing small-scale agricultural enterprises and an “Ideathon” in collaboration with the Kerala Startup Mission. Thirteen teams of students, startups, and innovators will present ideas focused on agricultural advancements across six categories. A startup orientation program, supported by several institutions including NIT-Calicut and Kerala Agricultural University, will also be held.
The event’s director, George Ninan from ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Kochi, will inaugurate the event. The expo will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
