**Hyderabad, February 19, 2025** – Renowned ghazal singer Hariharan will grace the stage in Hyderabad on February 21st for “Humrahi: An Evening of Ghazals,” a concert organized by Banyan Tree. The performance, marking a decade of Humrahi’s efforts to promote the ghazal form, will feature Hariharan’s beloved ghazals and thumris, along with his pioneering “Urdu Blues” genre.
Hariharan, who celebrated 50 years in music last year, expressed his deep affection for Hyderabad, calling it the “hub of Urdu in the South.” He will perform some of his most popular pieces and reminisced about his fond memories of the city, including his musical collaborations with the late ghazal maestro Vithal Rao.
The singer, known for his ability to connect with audiences across generations, shared his plans for two upcoming ghazal albums: “Jaan Meri,” featuring poetry by Farhad Shahzad, and a tribute album to Mehdi Hassan. He also revealed collaborations with his son, Akshay, on fusion tracks.
