**New Delhi, February 19, 2025** – External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will travel to South Africa for a two-day visit, beginning February 20th. The trip will see him participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) at the invitation of South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola.
The Ministry of External Affairs announced the visit on Wednesday, stating that Minister Jaishankar’s presence will strengthen India’s engagement with G20 nations and amplify the voice of the Global South within the forum. Bilateral discussions are also expected to take place during his visit. South Africa currently holds the G20 presidency.
