Mon Feb 17 18:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Vivo Unveils V50: Camera-Focused Upgrade with Enhanced Features

**New Delhi, [Date]** – Vivo has launched its latest V-series smartphone, the Vivo V50, boasting significant upgrades over its predecessor, the V40. The phone maintains the series’ focus on camera technology, featuring a powerful Zeiss-powered 50MP main wide camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, both capable of 4K video recording. The 50MP selfie camera also supports 4K video.

While the V40 also featured Zeiss optics and a 50MP selfie camera, the V50 offers several key improvements. It sports a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging (compared to the V40’s 5,500mAh battery and 80W charging), a striking quad-curved display (versus the V40’s dual-curved design), and improved IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance (V40: IP68). Both phones utilize the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

The V50’s 6.77-inch AMOLED display boasts 4,500 nits peak brightness and 388 PPI, slightly smaller and less dense than the V40’s 6.78-inch AMOLED with 453 PPI, but still offering a vibrant viewing experience. The V50 runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, promising three major Android updates, an advantage over the V40’s Android 14 and Funtouch OS 14.

Pricing remains competitive. The base model of both phones starts at ₹34,999, while the top-end 12GB RAM variant of the V50 is slightly cheaper at ₹40,999 compared to the V40’s ₹41,999. The V50 is available in Titanium Grey, Rose Red, and Starry Night.
