Mon Feb 17 18:20:00 UTC 2025: ## UPSC Extends Deadline for Civil Services Exam 2025 Applications

**New Delhi:** The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the deadline for applications to the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 and the Indian Forest Service Examination 2025. Aspirants now have until February 18, 2025, to submit their applications through the official website, upsc.gov.in or upsconline.gov.in. The initial deadline was February 11, 2025.

Candidates can make corrections to their application forms from February 19 to 25, 2025. A total of 979 positions, including IAS and IPS, are available through the CSE 2025, while the Indian Forest Service exam offers 150 posts. The UPSC CSE prelims exam is scheduled for May 25, 2025.

**Eligibility Criteria:**

* **Age:** Minimum 21 years, maximum 32 years (as of August 1, 2025). Age relaxations are available for reserved categories.
* **Education:** Graduation from a recognized university.
* **Attempts:** General category candidates have a maximum of 6 attempts (until age 32), OBC candidates have 9 attempts (until age 35), and SC/ST candidates have unlimited attempts (until age 37).

**Application Fee:** A fee of INR 100 is required, except for women, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
