**Mangaluru, February 17, 2025** – Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satish Jarkiholi has pledged significant infrastructure development for Puttur, including a new ring road to alleviate traffic congestion. During a Sunday review meeting with Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, Jarkiholi approved the acquisition of land for the ring road project, citing Puttur’s rapid growth.
The Minister also directed PWD officials to expedite the completion of the Puttur-Uppinangady four-lane project. Further, he announced an additional ₹5 crore grant for expanding the Puttur inspection bungalow and ₹3 crore for a new road near the Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple.
While inspecting the ongoing Puttur-Vitla road project, Jarkiholi assured its speedy completion and committed ₹7 crore for the construction of a railway bridge in Harady. These initiatives signal a significant investment in Puttur’s infrastructure, aimed at improving transportation and overall development.
