Tue Feb 18 06:02:39 UTC 2025: ## Supreme Court Hears YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s Plea to Combine FIRs

**New Delhi** – The Supreme Court today heard a petition filed by YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia seeking to consolidate multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) filed against him for controversial remarks made during an appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent.” A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh is presiding over the case.

Allahbadia, who is facing police investigations, petitioned the court last week requesting the amalgamation of the various FIRs and seeking anticipatory bail to prevent arrest by Guwahati Police. His lawyer, Abhinav Chandrachud (son of former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud), initially sought an urgent hearing, but this request was denied by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna. The hearing today marks a significant step in Allahbadia’s legal battle stemming from the controversial statements. Further updates on the Supreme Court’s decision are expected.
