**KOCHI, KERALA –** Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar challenged graduating students at the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) 10th convocation to become job providers, not just seekers. Addressing the ceremony on Monday, February 17th, Arlekar emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship for national development.

“To be a job seeker is easy, but becoming a job provider takes courage,” Arlekar stated, highlighting the need for a different mindset among young graduates. He assured the graduating class that the state government actively supports aspiring entrepreneurs and startup initiatives.

Arlekar further emphasized the societal responsibility of education, urging graduates to utilize their research and business ventures to benefit the nation. He presented degrees, gold medals, and endowments at the convocation, presided over by Fisheries Minister Saji Cherian and KUFOS Vice-Chancellor Pradeepkumar T. The event took place at the university’s headquarters in Kochi.
