**Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, February 18, 2025** – A new anonymous drug complaint app, launched by the Tamil Nadu Department of Prohibition and Excise, is being rolled out in schools across the state. The app allows users to report drug use and sales without revealing their identity, ensuring confidentiality.
Collector C. Dinesh Kumar chaired a consultative meeting with the School Education Department to promote the app’s usage. He emphasized the app’s security features, stating that it is unhackable and maintains complete anonymity for complainants.
Teachers were urged to remain vigilant for behavioral changes in students, which could indicate drug use or other underlying issues. Any such suspicions should be immediately reported through the app, enabling timely intervention and access to rehabilitation services for affected students. The Collector distributed pamphlets to school officials detailing the app’s functionality and usage. The initiative aims to tackle drug-related problems among students by providing a safe and anonymous reporting mechanism.
