**Toronto, Canada** – A Delta Air Lines CRJ900 jet flipped over upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, February 17th, injuring 18 of the 80 people on board. All passengers and crew survived the dramatic crash-landing, which occurred around 2:15 p.m. ET.

The flight, Delta 4819, originated from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport. According to witnesses, the plane landed, then flipped onto its back. One child was among the injured and transported to the Hospital for Sick Children. Two adults, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 40s, were also transported to hospitals via helicopter. The remaining injuries were described as minor to moderate.

Emergency services, including three helicopters and two ambulances, responded swiftly. Airport operations were briefly suspended but have since resumed.

Passenger Peter Koukov described the chaotic scene to CNN, stating, “We were upside down hanging like bats.”

Delta CEO Ed Bastian released a statement expressing concern for those affected and thanking first responders. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. A British Airways flight following closely behind the Delta jet performed a go-around and landed safely at a different airport after the incident.
