**Los Angeles, CA –** The Hollywood Bowl announced its highly anticipated 2025 season Tuesday, a lineup brimming with A-list talent and marking a significant moment for the venue and its longtime music director. The season will feature a diverse range of performances, from musicals to classical concerts, celebrating the legacy of Gustavo Dudamel before his departure in 2026.

A major highlight is the return of summer musicals to the Bowl after a COVID-19 induced hiatus, with Oscar-nominee Cynthia Erivo taking on the iconic role of Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo. This production promises to be a spectacular event.

Dudamel’s penultimate season will feature eight performances with the L.A. Phil and Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, including a special return to Mahler’s First Symphony, paired with Korngold’s Violin Concerto. The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra will also collaborate with Dudamel on a program of dances from around the world and Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, alongside two LA Phil commissions.

Other notable performances include Hugh Jackman’s season opener featuring hits from “The Greatest Showman” and “The Music Man,” and appearances by John Legend, Cyndi Lauper, John Fogerty, Josh Groban, and Diana Ross. The Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival will be replaced this year by the Blue Note Jazz Festival, featuring headliners Grace Jones, Willow, and De La Soul.

The season will also celebrate the work of legendary film composer John Williams with “Jaws” and “Jurassic Park” in concert.

L.A. Phil President and CEO Kim Noltemy emphasized the season’s focus on celebrating Dudamel’s tenure, stating that many artists were eager to participate in his final years at the Bowl. The diverse and star-studded lineup promises an unforgettable 2025 season at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.
