**MUMBAI, INDIA – February 17, 2024** – Aprilia India today launched the highly anticipated Tuono 457, a naked sportbike, priced at ₹3.95 lakh. Bookings opened immediately, with deliveries expected to begin the first week of March. Test rides will also commence in March.
The Tuono 457 boasts a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 47.6 PS and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Features include a flat handlebar, two-piece seat, a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, ride-by-wire, multiple ride modes, LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and traction control. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with disc brakes and features USD front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. Weighing in at 159 kg, it has a seat height of 800 mm.
Brand ambassador John Abraham praised the Tuono 457, calling it “agile, powerful, and distinct,” ideal for city and urban riding. Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, highlighted the Tuono 457’s unique design, differentiating it from its faired sibling, the RS 457. He emphasized the bike’s appeal to a younger generation.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will compete with models like the KTM Duke 390, BMW G310R, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and Kawasaki Ninja 500.
