Mon Feb 17 20:02:23 UTC 2025: ## Aprilia Tuono 457 Takes on KTM 390 Duke in Indian Market

**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Aprilia has officially launched its highly anticipated Tuono 457 in India, priced at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This undercuts its faired sibling, the RS 457, by ₹15,000, but positions it ₹1 lakh above the key rival, the KTM 390 Duke. The Tuono 457 directly challenges the 390 Duke, which recently received a price reduction.

Sharing its 47 bhp, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine and 6-speed gearbox with the RS 457, the Tuono boasts ride-by-wire technology and three riding modes (Rain, Eco, Sport) with three-level traction control, all managed via a 5-inch TFT instrument console. Suspension consists of preload-adjustable USD forks and a monoshock, while braking is handled by disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

Unlike its fully-faired counterpart, the Tuono 457 lacks a fairing, opting for a naked design that some may find polarizing. However, it also differs from other Tuono models by foregoing a half-fairing.

With its impressive specifications and competitive pricing (relative to the RS 457), the Aprilia Tuono 457 is poised to become a significant player in the 400cc naked bike segment. A full ride review will determine if it truly dethrones the reigning champion, the KTM 390 Duke.
