**Cairo, Egypt – February 18, 2025** – A total of 290 humanitarian aid trucks, including 23 carrying fuel and gas, entered the Gaza Strip on Monday, according to an Egyptian official source at the Rafah border crossing. The trucks passed through inspections at Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja crossings before entering Gaza.

This influx of aid comes as Egypt actively prepares for an upcoming Gaza reconstruction conference. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with UN Senior Humanitarian Coordinator Sigrid Kaag to discuss preparations. The conference, a joint effort by Egypt, the UN, international partners, and financial institutions, aims to expedite Gaza’s recovery.

Minister Abdelatty emphasized the urgent need to begin early recovery and reconstruction projects, presenting Egypt’s detailed implementation timeline and recovery plan phases to Ms. Kaag. He also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to ensuring continuous and safe humanitarian access to Gaza. The meeting took place during the fourth meeting of the international alliance for the two-state solution in Cairo.
