**Kottayam, Kerala, February 18, 2025** – A 52-year-old man, Reji M.K., has been sentenced to 136 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined ₹1.97 lakh for sexually abusing a minor girl. The Fast Track Special Court (POCSO) in Erattupetta delivered the verdict on Tuesday. The court ordered that the fine be given to the victim.

The abuse occurred on May 31, 2023, at a rented house where the girl was present for a film shoot. The case, initially registered at the Changanassery police station, was later transferred to the Thidanad police station for investigation. Special public prosecutor Jose Mathew Thayyil represented the prosecution. Judge Roshan Thomas presided over the case.
