**Hyderabad, February 17, 2025** – Prominent academician and Deccan history author Repaka Lakshmi Reddy passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 91. Reddy, a former trustee of the Nizam’s Urdu libraries and a respected figure at Nizam College, is survived by her two sons. Her final rites are scheduled for Monday at 12 noon at Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam Crematorium in Jubilee Hills.
Reddy, a founder member and former president of the Nizam College Past Students Association, authored five books on Deccan history. She was widely admired for her extensive knowledge of national and state politics, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues. Tributes poured in, with former students describing her classes as unmissable and her contributions to the college and academic field as “immense, unmatched, and incomparable.”
