**ALUVA, February 17, 2025** – A major fire broke out at a plastic godown in Pukkattupady, Aluva, early Monday morning, prompting a large-scale firefighting operation. The blaze was first reported around 4:00 AM, with residents noticing smoke and flames and immediately contacting emergency services.
Fire and rescue services arrived on the scene shortly after 4:05 AM, deploying multiple units from Aluva, Thrikkakkara, Pattimattom, Perumbavoor, Gandhi Nagar, and Eloor fire stations. While the fire is now under control, officials state that it has not yet been completely extinguished.
The godown is owned by a local resident named Basheer. No injuries or casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are currently working to fully extinguish the blaze and determine the extent of the damage.
