**CHENNAI, INDIA –** Actor Sivakarthikeyan celebrated his birthday by unveiling the title and first look of his upcoming action thriller, “Madharasi,” directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film, previously known as “SK x ARM,” features Sivakarthikeyan in a high-octane action role, a departure from some of his previous comedic performances.
A 44-second glimpse released alongside the title announcement showcases Sivakarthikeyan engaging in intense fight sequences. The poster and teaser also feature co-stars Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon (appearing as a police officer), and Rukmini Vasanth. The film will also have a Hindi release titled “Dil Madharasi.”
Director Murugadoss expressed excitement about the project on social media, stating, “The ground is set for MASSIVE ACTION. Let the HAVOC begin.” Sivakarthikeyan himself described the film as a “high-octane action entertainer.” The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Fans have responded enthusiastically to the first look, praising Sivakarthikeyan’s transformation into an action hero. The inclusion of Vidyut Jammwal and Biju Menon in the cast has also generated considerable excitement.
“Madharasi” marks Sivakarthikeyan’s latest project following the success of the 2024 army biopic “Amaran.” He is currently also filming “Parasakthi” under Sudha Kongara’s direction. Meanwhile, Murugadoss is simultaneously working on the Hindi film “Sikandar,” starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. The release date for “Madharasi” is yet to be announced.
