**New Delhi, February 17, 2025** – In a rare display of hospitality, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally welcomed the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, upon his arrival at the New Delhi airport today. The Amir is in India on a two-day state visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi.
This marks the Amir’s second state visit to India, his first being in March 2015. During his current visit, he is scheduled to meet with President Droupadi Murmu and hold talks with Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday.
