**Mumbai, India** – Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical drama, “Chhaava,” has taken the Indian box office by storm. The film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshay Khanna, has reportedly crossed ₹150 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, exceeding its ₹130 crore budget. Domestically, the film raked in an impressive ₹116.5 crore in just three days.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, “Chhaava,” a biopic on Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, opened with ₹31 crore on its first day. The collections soared to ₹37 crore on day two and a remarkable ₹48.5 crore on day three. The film’s success is particularly strong in Maharashtra, where late-night and early morning shows have been added to meet the high demand.

“Chhaava” is now one of Vicky Kaushal’s fastest and second highest-grossing films. The movie depicts Sambhaji Maharaj’s battles against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (played by Akshay Khanna). Industry trackers anticipate continued strong performance for “Chhaava” in the coming weeks.
