Mon Feb 17 16:20:03 UTC 2025: ## Aprilia Launches Affordable Tuono 457 Streetfighter in India

**Mumbai, India –** Aprilia has launched its newest streetfighter, the Tuono 457, in the Indian market, priced at ₹395,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). This marks the most affordable Aprilia motorcycle available in India, and bookings are open with a ₹10,000 deposit.

The Tuono 457 boasts a unique design, differentiating it from its larger Tuono siblings. Unlike the Tuono 660 and V4, it features a distinct single-piece handlebar and headlight setup, offering a more relaxed, upright riding position compared to its supersport counterpart, the RS 457.

Powering the bike is a 457cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 47.6PS and 43.5Nm, identical to the RS 457. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The Tuono 457 shares the RS 457’s 175kg kerb weight and 800mm seat height, despite featuring a different handlebar setup.

Key features include three riding modes (Rain, Sport, Eco), a three-level traction control system, dual-channel ABS, and a 5-inch TFT instrument console with standard smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The Tuono 457 directly competes with the KTM 390 Duke and Yamaha MT-03. While slightly more expensive than the recently discounted KTM 390 Duke, the Aprilia offers superior performance and features. Compared to the Yamaha MT-03, the Tuono 457 provides more power and advanced technology at a premium price. The choice ultimately comes down to rider preference: value-conscious buyers may opt for the KTM, while those seeking a unique Italian riding experience and premium features will likely choose the Aprilia Tuono 457.
