Hyderabad, Telangana: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is celebrating his 71st birthday today. The party is marking the occasion with large-scale celebrations across all districts of Telangana. In Hyderabad, a 71 kg cake is planned to be cut to commemorate the day. Party working president K.T. Rama Rao, along with Harish Rao and Kavitha, are expected to attend the celebrations.

State-wide events include tree planting drives, fruit distribution, and community meals (Annadanam). A significant tree planting initiative is being led by Joginipally Santosh Kumar, founder of Green India Challenge. Kumar lauded KCR’s commitment to the environment and highlighted the success of the Haritha Haram program in greening Telangana over the past decade. He expressed concern over the potential damage to the state’s progress in the past year and voiced hope for KCR’s return as Chief Minister, wishing him a long and healthy life.
