Sun Feb 16 12:33:16 UTC 2025: ## Coimbatore Railway Station Bust: Woman Arrested with 14kg of Ganja
**COIMBATORE, February 16, 2025** – Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials in Coimbatore arrested a 38-year-old woman from Bihar on Saturday for possessing 14 kilograms of ganja. The woman, identified as Minta Devi from Azampur village in Vaishali district, was apprehended during an anti-drug operation at the Coimbatore railway station.
RPF personnel were monitoring passengers arriving on the Patna-Ernakulam Junction Express when they noticed Devi acting suspiciously with a white polythene bag. Upon inspection, the bag was found to contain the significant quantity of ganja.
Devi and the contraband were subsequently handed over to the Coimbatore city police’s Prohibition Enforcement Wing. She has been charged under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and remanded in judicial custody until March 5th.
