**COIMBATORE, February 16, 2025** – A 21-year-old migrant worker from Madhya Pradesh was murdered during a birthday celebration in Kinathukadavu near Coimbatore on Saturday night. B. Bhupendra, who worked at an LPG filling station, was beaten to death with an iron rod by three fellow workers, all from the same village in Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh.
Police reports indicate that the altercation occurred after excessive alcohol consumption at a birthday party held in the employees’ quarters. Bhupendra reportedly argued with his roommates, leading to the fatal attack. Two of the accused are 17 years old, while the third is 20.
The Kinathukadavu police have arrested all three suspects and are investigating the incident. A post-mortem has been conducted on Bhupendra’s body at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. The case was filed based on a complaint from another migrant worker, D. Anand.
