**PALWANCHA, February 16** – A fire broke out in the home of Anil Gurram in Indira Nagar Colony, Palwancha, on Sunday. The blaze, which started while his wife was cooking, destroyed approximately ₹20,000 worth of kitchenware.
Neighbor Bala Srinu quickly alerted the Kottagudem fire station. Firefighters, including officials Gunda Pullayya, Shivakrishna, and Harish, arrived promptly and extinguished the fire before it could spread to adjacent homes. The timely arrival of the fire engine prevented further damage and relieved nearby residents.
