**DANIA BEACH, FL –** A young boy was hospitalized Saturday after nearly drowning in a community pool in Dania Beach, marking the fourth such incident in Broward County within the past eight days. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to a call around 2 p.m. and found the child had been pulled from the water. The boy was conscious and breathing when transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. His age and identity have not yet been released. The Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit is investigating.

This incident follows three similar near-drownings in the county: a boy found unresponsive in a Lauderhill pool on Friday, a toddler rescued from a Dania Beach pool on Wednesday, and a four-year-old revived with CPR after being found unresponsive in a Wilton Manors backyard pool last Friday.
