**Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, February 15, 2025** – Two people were killed Friday afternoon when a coal-laden dumper truck overturned on their motorcycle in Singrauli district, Madhya Pradesh. The accident, which occurred near Amilia Ghati, sparked angry protests from locals who blocked roads and set fire to several vehicles.
According to Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri, the dumper, associated with the Adani Group’s mines, was transporting coal from the Gajra Bahra yard when it overturned, killing Ramlalu Yadav and Ramsagar Prajapati. Enraged villagers subsequently protested in Suhera, Gada Khad, and Amilia Ghati, torching five buses and three dumpers. While attempting to breach a factory area, they were dispersed by police.
Police have reported the situation is now under control and further legal action will be taken. The incident is under investigation.
