Sat Feb 15 15:02:59 UTC 2025: ## Kurnool Police Arrest Duo for Blackmailing Hospital Owner, Assaulting Officers

**KURNOOL, February 15, 2025** – Kurnool police have apprehended two individuals, K. Enugula Raghunath and K. Adivesh, for allegedly blackmailing a private hospital owner and assaulting police officers. The accused, residents of Adoni mandal, initially filed a complaint against Madhu Hospital, alleging irregularities in NTR Vaidya Seva services. They subsequently demanded ₹50 lakh from the hospital owner, Gurreddy, to withdraw the complaint, eventually settling for ₹39 lakh. After receiving an initial ₹10,000 payment via UPI, Gurreddy filed a police complaint.

When police constables attempted to serve notices on the accused, they were attacked. Following an investigation, police arrested the duo on Saturday near the new bridge in Adoni Town. Further questioning revealed a pattern of filing complaints against multiple individuals and subsequently extorting money to withdraw them. The accused are currently facing charges of blackmail, extortion, and assault on police officers.
