Sat Feb 15 14:01:11 UTC 2025: ## Visakhapatnam to Host ‘Pink Sakhi Saree Walk’ to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
**VISAKHAPATNAM, February 15, 2025** – A “Pink Sakhi Saree Walk” will be held on February 16th at Beach Road in Visakhapatnam to raise awareness about breast cancer, organizers announced. The event, a collaboration between the Rohit Memorial Trust and the Round Table Ladies Circle India, will begin at 6 a.m.
Actor and cancer survivor Gautami Tadimalla, founder of the Life Again Foundation, will be the special guest. Ms. Tadimalla emphasized the critical importance of early detection and treatment, along with maintaining a positive attitude during cancer treatment, during a press interaction. She was joined by actor Shilpa Chakraborthy and Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi.
S.P. Ravindra, Chairman of Alwardas Group of Educational Institutions and a fellow cancer survivor, echoed the importance of a positive approach in battling the disease. The event, celebrating International Cancer Month, will feature Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari as chief guest and is supported by the Health Department. Organizers highlighted the event’s focus on raising awareness about women’s cancers.
