THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Feb 15, 2025 – The National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) will host a three-day conference focusing on magmatism, metamorphism, and metallogeny in India. The conference, running from February 16th to 18th, will bring together geoscientists to share research and foster collaboration.
The event will be inaugurated by Talat Ahmad, chairperson of NCESS’s Research Advisory Council, with addresses also given by NCESS director N.V. Chalapathi Rao and Somnath Dasgupta from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
A key goal is the establishment of an “MMM Studies Group” to provide ongoing support and networking opportunities for young researchers. Organizers believe this will enhance the international profile of Indian geoscientists and drive innovation in mineral exploration and related fields.
