**Hyderabad, February 15, 2025** – Telangana state experienced a dramatic temperature swing over the weekend, with the lowest temperature plummeting to a chilling 9.2°C in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district, while the mercury soared to a high of 37.6°C in Khammam. This follows several days of rising temperatures.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, collected between Friday and Saturday morning, Sirpur in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad recorded the lowest temperature at 9.2°C, while Bheempur in Adilabad district saw a low of 9.6°C. At least 30 districts experienced minimum temperatures below 15°C.
The Meteorological Center Hyderabad forecasts minimum temperatures of 11°C to 15°C in seven districts over the next two days, before rising above 15°C across the state. While Asifabad shivered at 9.2°C, its highest temperature reached 36.7°C in Bejjur. Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C and a minimum of 15°C.
The significant temperature variation highlights the diverse climatic conditions within Telangana. The extreme low temperatures follow a recent period of warmer weather.
