**New Delhi, February 13, 2025** – A Delhi court will decide on February 20 whether to proceed with a criminal defamation complaint filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendra Jain against BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj. The complaint stems from an October 5, 2023, TV interview where Ms. Swaraj allegedly made defamatory remarks against Mr. Jain.

Mr. Jain claims Ms. Swaraj falsely stated that ₹3 crore, 1.8 kilograms of gold, and 133 gold coins were recovered from his residence. He alleges these remarks were intended to damage his reputation and gain political advantage, further accusing Ms. Swaraj of labeling him corrupt and fraudulent. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Mittal reserved her order on the matter Thursday after hearing arguments from both sides.
