Sat Feb 15 14:22:33 UTC 2025: ## Kerala CBSE Exams Begin: Over 100,000 Students Appear

**Thiruvananthapuram, February 15, 2025** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations commenced in Kerala and Lakshadweep on Saturday, with nearly 106,000 students participating. A total of 64,000 Class X and 41,500 Class XII students are taking the exams across 273 centers in the Thiruvananthapuram region.

The majority of Class X students sat for the English Language and Literature paper, while some took the English Communicative exam. Approximately 470 Class XII students also took the Entrepreneurship exam. Special arrangements have been made for students with disabilities, including additional time, scribes, and separate examination rooms for those with communicable diseases. Visually impaired students received specially prepared question papers, and students with Type 1 diabetes were permitted to have snacks during the exams.

The CBSE has deployed superintendents at each exam center and requested police presence to maintain order. The Class X exams will conclude on March 18th, and Class XII exams on April 4th. The breakdown of students includes a significant number of differently-abled students participating in both Class X and XII. Gender-based statistics were also released, showcasing a nearly even distribution of boys and girls across both classes.
